What is DEAE?
Diethylaminoethanol is a clear, colourless, corrosive liquid with a characteristic odour and is poorly soluble in water. It is used as a neutralizing component for coatings and as a neutralizing agent and CO2 catcher in the boiler water. In addition to applications in water treatment (to adjust the pH), DEAE is also used in industrial coatings and as an intermediate for various surfactants (surfactants).
