Magnesium Sulfate Heptahydrate

Magnesium sulfate is the magnesium salt of sulphuric acid. Other names used for magnesium sulfate are bitter salt and English salt. The anhydrous substance is a white powder that is freely soluble in water. The most common form is the heptahydrate, which is also called Epsom salt. Magnesium sulfate-7-hydrate occurs in nature as the mineral epsomite.
